Question: What happens when you strip away a college students’ meal plan and give them a kitchen?
Answer: You’ll find them huddled at the Indian restaurant next to their dorm, over ordering plates of food in anticipation for their first hot meal since leaving home.
We started off with their Punjabi Samosas.
Mashed potatoes and veggies stuffed in a crispy pastry – highly recommended.
We also had their Pakora.
Onions fried in chickpea batter.
Next came our three baskets of Butter Naan Bread (no judgment please).
For mains we opted for a serving of their Chicken Tikka Masala.
Thick tomato based curry with rich traces of tandoori masala spices and a generous portion of tender chicken. So good we helped ourselves to a second serving – highly recommended.
Their Tarka Daal
Lentil based dish that was a bit too bland for my taste.
Their Butter Chicken Curry.
Buttery and creamy just the way we like.
Overall, highlights of this restaurant include their Samosas and Chicken Tikka Masala. Punjab may look unassuming and small from first glance, but they’ve got quite some space inside their restaurant so do go with a large group of friends. I would recommend ordering a variety of different appetizers and curries and sharing them among each other.
